Peggy Yoder is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist and founder of Amare Marriage & Family Therapy.

Peggy holds an MA in Professional Counseling from Texas State University with 6 years of experience. She specializes in relationship health and is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Discernment Counseling.

Her practicum experience in San Antonio, Texas includes: providing community care for individuals and couples at Texas State University Assessment and Counseling Clinic; helping addiction recovery residents work on life transformation skills through Family Violence Prevention Services Community Counseling at Haven for Hope; and supervising court ordered visitation between children and their non-custodial parents at Guardian House.

Before becoming a therapist, Peggy spent more than 15 years at USAA in San Antonio, TX where she managed digital products and developed strategic third party alliances. She got her start in business at The Boeing Company in St. Louis, Missouri, where she spent 20 years managing major subcontracts in support of Boeing’s military programs. Peggy also holds an MBA from St. Louis University.

Peggy and her husband Paul are natives of St. Louis, Missouri and have resided in Texas since 2003. They’ve been married for more than 34 years and raised two daughters. Peggy enjoys tennis, travel and spending time with her family.
